WUAGH! SO COOL! Why did I not see this in my devwatch list? The hair is so groovy-nuts XD
All I can recommend is to go over the arc of the spine over and over until you get an arc that is a little bit bendier than what you'd really get from a person being thrown away from a real explosion. (Though, we can really only assume what that would look like as far as real life goes.)
